   Spring was giving way to summer, and the heat had 
begun to increase as the days got longer.  Winter coats 
were shed for lighter spring ones, then finally for 
jackets and even going without.  The heavy clothing of 
winter was gradually being replaced as the seasons 
changed, and Janet watched as the trendy women of 
Greenwich wore the newest fashions that season.
